What are PIM files and how to open them

Are you having problems opening a PIM file or are you simply curious about its contents? We're here to explain the properties of these files and provide you with software that can open or handle your PIM files.

What is a PIM file?

PIM files have multiple uses, and PixMaker Project is one of them. Read more about the other uses further down the page.

PixMaker Project

The .pim file format is a digital multimedia file format, which is mainly used for web-related presentations.

These PIM files are also called PixMaker project files and can be created by using the PixMaker software, which PixAround created. This Windows program provides users with a set of tools for creating interactive web-related graphics and presentations.

A PIM file may contain multiple digital multimedia objects. These include 2D and 3D graphics, text, animated motion graphics, sound clips, and effects, among other types of multimedia content.

These .pim files can be stored in USB thumb drives or transmitted via email for presentation purposes. They can be opened and edited using the PixMaker software from PixAround. Unfortunately, no known applications can convert these PIM files into other more standard digital multimedia presentation formats.
