Opening PFD files

Did your computer fail to open a PFD file? We explain what PFD files are and recommend software that we know can open or convert your PFD files.

What is a PFD file?

Files that contain the .pfd file extension are most commonly associated with the ProForm database software application. The PFD files that are used by this program contain data entry files that have been created by the ProForm program.

The Micrografx Optimal software application also uses the .pfd file suffix. These PFD files contain process flow diagrams that have been created using the Micrografx software program.

The Sony PlayStation 3 has also been known to use the .pfd file extension. These PFD files contain saved game control data files. These files allow a user to stop gameplay at any point in time and return to the point at which they were playing when they are ready to resume their gaming.

Try a universal file viewer

In addition to the products listed above, I would suggest that you try a universal file viewer like Free File Viewer. It can open over 200 different types of files - and very likely yours too! Download Free File Viewer.
