What is a MXPL file?
The .mxpl file extension is used for a data file format, which was developed by MAGIX AG for one of their software products. Also called MAGIX playlist files, these MXPL files can be created by using the MAGIX MP3 Deluxe software, which was also created by MAGIX AG. These .mxpl files contain references to digital audio files and music tracks that have been compiled by the user in a MAGIX playlist using the MAGIX MP3 Deluxe software. The MAGIX MP3 Deluxe software is a digital audio editor, music management and MP3 converter tool for Windows PCs. This program provides users quick and easy ways to organize their digital music collections, convert their MP3s into other audio formats and edit their audio files. These MXPL files do not contain the actual digital audio files and music tracks. Instead, only directory locations and file properties are stored in these .mxpl files. Metadata details like name of artist, song title, album title, track number and release date among others may also be stored in these MXPL files. It's recommended to use MAGIX MP3 Deluxe to create and open these .mxpl files. This software is also recommended for editing the content of an MXPL file.
