MXC2 File
What are MXC2 files and how to open them
Are you having problems opening a MXC2 file or are you simply curious about its contents? We're here to explain the properties of these files and provide you with software that can open or handle your MXC2 files.
What is a MXC2 file?
Files that contain the .mxc2 file extension are most commonly used by the MAGIX software applications. MAGIX distributes a wide range of media software applications that allow a user to edit and play media files on their computer.
MXC2 files are cache files that are created by the MAGIX software program. These files are used to reduce the time that it takes for the software to generate previews of media files within a user's folders and subfolders.
The MXC2 files do not contain any actual media data, just metadata that is related to the actual media files. The MXC2 files are created when a user browses through a folder using the Media pool utility.
How to open MXC2 files
Important: Different programs may use files with the MXC2 file extension for different purposes, so unless you are sure which format your MXC2 file is, you may need to try a few different programs.
