What is a MVC file?
The .mvc file extension is used for a digital bitmap graphics file format called Sony Digital Mavica. The MVC file format is also classified as a digital photo image file format, which was developed by Sony in the mid 1980s. These .mvc files are normally stored in floppy disks that are used with Sony Mavica digital cameras, which are also known as Sony Magnetic Video Cameras. These Mavicas were manufactured by Sony in the mid 1980s. These MVC files are created by these magnetic video cameras, which are then stored in floppy disks that can be inserted into built-in slots of these cameras. More recent versions of these Mavicas were equipped with optical media drives that can be used to store these .mvc files in CDs. However, Sony stopped producing these magnetic video cameras in the early 2000s.Because these Sony Mavica products are now obsolete, there are no known programs that can be used to open these .mvc files. No digital photo editors and bitmap image conversion tools are known to be capable of converting these MVC files to more standard bitmap graphics file formats.
