What is a MENC file?
The MENC file format is typically associated with encryption for mobile storage devices. MENC files are encrypted files that have been created by mobile devices which operate on the Windows operating platform. The files that are stored with the .menc file extension are encrypted backup files of a file that is on a mobile Windows device.
The MENC files contain encrypted copies of a user's original files along with file header information. The MENC file format allows for the secure storage of files on external storage media. The .menc extension is what allows the user to see that the file has been encrypted.
How to open MENC files
Important: Different programs may use files with the MENC file extension for different purposes, so unless you are sure which format your MENC file is, you may need to try a few different programs.
