Opening MB files

Did your computer fail to open a MB file? We explain what MB files are and recommend software that we know can open or convert your MB files.

What is a MB file?

Files that contain the .mb file extension are most commonly associated with the MapBasic development environment. The MapBasic programming language is similar to the BASIC programming language and it is used to create applications for the MapInfo Professional runtimes.

MB files allow a user to customize the features and functions of the MapInfo Professional program and integrate the software with other software applications.

The .mb file extension is also used to store Mathematica binary files and memo holder files for the Corel Paradox software program.

Try a universal file viewer

In addition to the products listed above, I would suggest that you try a universal file viewer like Free File Viewer. It can open over 200 different types of files - and very likely yours too! Download Free File Viewer.
