KDF File
What are KDF files and how to open them
Are you having problems opening a KDF file or are you simply curious about its contents? We're here to explain the properties of these files and provide you with software that can open or handle your KDF files.
What is a KDF file?
The .kdf file extension is most commonly associated with prep files created by the Kinko's File Prep Tool software. This software works like a virtual "printer", saving files that will be printed at a Kinko's location. The file is created when a user selects the FPT option from the drop-down printer menu when printing the document from an application. This does not actually print the document, but creates a printable image.
The .kdf file extension is also used for VisiQuest Standard Data Format files and KARMA MW/Triton data files.

Important: Different programs may use files with the KDF file extension for different purposes, so unless you are sure which format your KDF file is, you may need to try a few different programs.
