ICA File - opening and understanding

What is an ICA file?
ICA stands for Independent Computing Architecture. Files that contain the .ica extension are used by the Citrix application services. These files contain configuration information that allow users to store data with a link between the clients and servers. This means that a user can use a software application by connecting to a remote server without having the software actually installed on his or her computer.
A user can open an ICA Citrix file without connecting to a remote server, but they will have to have the Citrix application installed on their system in order for the file to open properly.
The .ica file extension is also commonly used by a variety of graphic applications to store bitmap graphics files created by the graphics software.
