What are IBT files and how to open them
Are you having problems opening an IBT file or are you simply curious about its contents? We're here to explain the properties of these files and provide you with software that can open or handle your IBT files.
What is an IBT file?
Files that contain the .ibt file extension are most commonly associated with the "Thief: Deadly Shadows" gaming application. The IBT files that are used by this program contain the files that are needed for the game to run on a user's computer. These files commonly contain the textures and models that are referenced during a user's game play experience.
The IBTracer Infiniband Link and Protocol Analyzer program also uses the .ibt file suffix. This software program was created by Computer Access Technology Corporation. The program captures and displays InfiniBand traffic. The IBT files created by the software contain data that the software has captured and displayed.
