HRC File
What are HRC files and how to open them
Are you having problems opening a HRC file or are you simply curious about its contents? We're here to explain the properties of these files and provide you with software that can open or handle your HRC files.
What is a HRC file?
A .HRC file is a HRC Script Language file.
HRC is a script language for defining syntax and lexical structure. XML-based, it describes how text parsing produces syntax highlighting. Flexible, efficient and effective, it allows software to parse and colorize text.
A "script" includes settings for rules, structures and coloring. It's a concise way to color code the syntax of a programming language in just one file.
Rules are used to determine how text should be interpreted and split into components. Structures help to recognize patterns occurring within text, while coloring defines which pieces have particular visual significance.
These three aspects combine together to resolve the complexity of any given programming language into simplified instructions that can easily be understood and implemented by software applications requiring syntax-aware editing capabilities.
With clear yet powerful instructions laid out as defining parameters inside an HRC script, it can quickly decode the underlying structure of source code - making your programs easier to read, debug or maintain with successful syntax highlighting effects.
