What is a HDMP file?
Files with the .hdmp extension usually contain uncompressed error dump files. These files are created by the Windows XP and Vista operating systems when an application crashes or encounters a critical error. The HDMP files contain a "dump" of the program state, showing the state of the program when the error occurred. These files are often sent to Microsoft as a part of the software debugging process.
