What are HA files and how to open them

What is a HA file?
HA files have multiple uses, and HA Compressed Archive is one of them. Read more about the other uses further down the page.
HA Compressed Archive
.ha is a file extension commonly associated with HA (HSC Archive) compressed archive files. HA-compressed archive files store and compress multiple files into a single, smaller archive file for easier storage and transportation.
Harri Hirvola developed the .HA compression format in 1993, and it uses a proprietary compression algorithm called HSC compression, which was designed to be more efficient and faster than other algorithms.
How to open HA files
Important: Different programs may use files with the HA file extension for different purposes, so unless you are sure which format your HA file is, you may need to try a few different programs.
While we have not verified the apps ourselves yet, our users have suggested seven different HA openers which you will find listed below.
