What is a GTX file?
GTX files have multiple uses, and Genetica 1.0 Texture is one of them. Read more about the other uses further down the page.

How to open GTX files
Important: Different programs may use files with the GTX file extension for different purposes, so unless you are sure which format your GTX file is, you may need to try a few different programs.

While Genetica 1.0 Texture is a popular type of GTX-file, we know of 2 different uses of the .GTX file extension. Different software may use files with the same extension for different types of data.
PlayStation Vita/Portable Textures
We know that one GTX format is PlayStation Vita/Portable Textures. We have not yet analyzed in detail what these files contain and what they are used for. We're working on it.
