What are FTL files and how to open them

What is a FTL file?

FTL files have multiple uses, and Family Tree Legends Data is one of them. Read more about the other uses further down the page.

Family Tree Legends Data

These FTL files contain the data collected and created in MyHeritage, a software used to animate family photos and reveal your ethnic background.

By using DNA tests, you can reveal your ethnic background and find newfound relatives. You can use these files to do research about your family's history.

How to open FTL files

Important: Different programs may use files with the FTL file extension for different purposes, so unless you are sure which format your FTL file is, you may need to try a few different programs.
