What is a FP3 file?

The .fp3 file extension is used for a database file format, which was developed by FileMaker, Inc. for a version of their main software product. Also known as FileMaker Pro database files, these FP3 files contain database details that have been stored using version 3 of the FILEMaker Pro software. These .fp3 files may also contain metadata details that are associated with the database that was created using FileMaker Pro v3.FileMaker Pro v3 is a database authoring and management application for Windows PCs. Newer versions of this database creation and management tool have also been released for Mac OS X computers. This software provides a set of tools to build and edit databases for these platforms.FileMaker Pro v3 can be used to open and view the data stored in these FP3 files. This software can also be used to edit the content of these .fp3 files.
