What is a F4F file?
The .f4f file extension is used for a proprietary data file format that was created by Adobe Systems, Inc. These F4F files are also called Adobe HTTP Dynamic Streaming segment files. Data files with the .f4f extension are generated by the File Packager applet, which is part of the Adobe HTTP Dynamic Streaming service. The Adobe HPPT Dynamic Streaming service is part of Adobe Media Server. This software is used for the distribution of multimedia content through HTTP connections.Segments of multimedia content are stored in these F4F files. These .f4f files are also known as Flash MP4 fragments. These .f4f files are not meant to be opened by multimedia players and video editing applications. It's recommended to leave these F4F files alone, in order for Adobe Media Server and the Adobe HTTP Dynamic Streaming service to continue working properly.
