What are ESB files and how to open them

What is an ESB file?

An .ESB file is an EBeam Whiteboard file.

EBeam Whiteboard (extension .esb) is the native file format used by the Scrapbook feature of the Luidia eBeam Education Suite to record whiteboard or meeting sessions. It packages together all the written annotations, background images, pages, and supporting media used during the session so that the session can be reopened later with full editability. A session is stored as a collection of pages inside one .esb file.

These files are created by the eBeam Scrapbook tool (part of eBeam Education Suite or eBeam Interact) when you save or "Save As" during or after a whiteboard meeting. Later you can open the .esb file with the same Scrapbook software in order to edit, replay, or export individual pages. You may export content into static formats (images, PDF, HTML, PowerPoint etc.) but these exports lose the ability to make further edits to the original strokes or page structure.

Technically, .esb meeting files begin with a byte signature at offset 2 matching the ASCII string "eBeamMeetingFile…OriginalCreator:", confirming their identity.
