What are DOL files and how to open them
Are you having problems opening a DOL file or are you simply curious about its contents? We're here to explain the properties of these files and provide you with software that can open or handle your DOL files.
What is a DOL file?
Files that contain the .dol file extension are normally associated with Gamecube executable files. The Nintendo Gamecube is a video game system that was created by Nintendo and released in 2001. The system sold more than 21 million units worldwide.
The DOL files that are associated with the Nintendo Gamecube contain a game file that has been copied from a Gamecube game cartridge. While the game cartridges were meant to be played on the actual Gamecube system, the DOL files that are created from these cartridges allow a user to play the game on their computer by using a Gamecube emulation application.
