DNL File - opening and understanding

What is a DNL file?

Files with the .dnl file extension are most commonly associated with eBook files created by the DNAML desktop publishing application. The DNL files contain the navigation information, raw text and images of an eBook created with the software. The DNL file format uses DRM protection to prevent a user from accessing the eBook on unauthorized devices.

The .dnl file extension is also used for Concordance database files and netMod modem firmware upgrade files.
