CUEPROFILE File

What are CUEPROFILE files and how to open them

Are you having problems opening a CUEPROFILE file or are you simply curious about its contents? We're here to explain the properties of these files and provide you with software that can open or handle your CUEPROFILE files.

What is a CUEPROFILE file?

A .CUEPROFILE file is a Corsair Utility Engine Pro file.

A Corsair Utility Engine Profile stores all the customized settings, lighting setups, macros, and key assignments that a user builds using Corsair's iCUE software for their gaming peripherals. It is saved when exporting a profile or sharing it between computers, and can be imported into iCUE to restore or apply the saved configuration.

The format is created by iCUE when a profile or modes are exported. Users choose whether to export the entire profile or only parts - such as lighting effects, key assignments, or macros. When importing, iCUE allows selective restoration of those components. Profiles may include assignments tied to specific programs so that settings switch automatically when different applications are active.

Internally the file is text-based (XML) encoded in UTF-8. Its header starts with an XML declaration (<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>) followed by a root element named "cereal" and contains elements such as "cereal_class_version", "profile", "name". The file includes keywords representing lighting, macros, actions, indicators and layout - for example "PREDEFINEDLIGHTINGEFFECTSPROPERTY", "BRIGHTNESSINDICATORPROPERTY", "MACRORECORDINGPROPERTY", "KEYBOARDLAYOUTSIZE".
