What are CSM files and how to open them

Are you having problems opening a CSM file or are you simply curious about its contents? We're here to explain the properties of these files and provide you with software that can open or handle your CSM files.

What is a CSM file?

CSM files have multiple uses, and CASL compiled PalmPilot program is one of them. Read more about the other uses further down the page.

CASL compiled PalmPilot program

These CSM files contain the applications created in CASL; a Windows Integrated Development Environment used to create applications for the PalmOS, a discontinued mobile operating system. You develop and test the applications on your desktop using CASLWIN and then transfer them to the targeted device.

How to open CSM files

Important: Different programs may use files with the CSM file extension for different purposes, so unless you are sure which format your CSM file is, you may need to try a few different programs.

While we have not verified the apps ourselves yet, our users have suggested six different CSM openers which you will find listed below.

We know that one CSM format is Flexi Driver Configuration. We have not yet analyzed in detail what these files contain and what they are used for. We're working on it.

We know that one CSM format is Motion Capture File Format. We have not yet analyzed in detail what these files contain and what they are used for. We're working on it.
