What are COK files and how to open them

What is a COK file?

A .COK file is a Cookeo Recipe file.

Cookeo Recipe files store recipes used by the Cookeo intelligent multicooker made by Moulinex. They are generated and used by the Cookeo appliance or its connected app to transfer recipe data - ingredient lists, cooking steps and modes, timing information - between the device, the app, and external storage like a USB key.

Cookeo writes these files when recipe or recipe pack downloads are made from the app to the appliance (or between app and USB media). The Cookeo device reads them to display recipes in its Library or Library → Recipe Packs menus. Users may back up recipe packs from USB keys, or transfer recipe files from a USB storage device so that Cookeo recognizes new recipes in the Library.

Data inside resembles a binary recipe format structured for the appliance rather than human readability. Cookeo USB keys include partitions holding such recipe files, and recipes transferred via these keys must use the correct directory/partition layout for Cookeo to detect them.

Cookeo Recipe files begin with a signature of four ASCII characters: "COOK" at the very start (offset 0).

How to open COK files

Important: Different programs may use files with the COK file extension for different purposes, so unless you are sure which format your COK file is, you may need to try a few different programs.
