What is a CMDB file?
The .cmdb file extension is used for files that have been saved in the proprietary ANSYS CFX mesh database file format, which was developed by ANSYS. This is a database file format that stores mesh properties and attributes among other pieces of data generated using the ANSYS CFX program.This software is a fluid dynamics tool that allows users to solve complex fluid flow problems, which are simulated using various conditions. The ANSYS CFX program is designed for Windows PCs and generates these CMDB files.The ANSYS CFX tool can be used to open and view the data that is stored in a .cmdb file. This software can also be used to edit the content of these CMDB files.
How to open CMDB files
Important: Different programs may use files with the CMDB file extension for different purposes, so unless you are sure which format your CMDB file is, you may need to try a few different programs.
