What is an AWA file?
AWA files have multiple uses, and AnimationWorks Accelerated movie is one of them. Read more about the other uses further down the page.
AnimationWorks Accelerated movie
These AWA files contain animations created in Vectorworks, a software that allows you to create complicated camera or object animations. AnimationWorks is an add-on for Vectorworks. You can view these AWA files in any supported media player as a QuickTime movie. These are 3D animations combined with a camera path to allow you to create a short film.
How to open AWA files
Important: Different programs may use files with the AWA file extension for different purposes, so unless you are sure which format your AWA file is, you may need to try a few different programs.
