What are AVP files and how to open them

What is an AVP file?
AVP files have multiple uses, and AntiVir Pro is one of them. Read more about the other uses further down the page.
AntiVir Profile
These AVP files contain the configuration used by AntiVir, an antivirus application used on Windows. AVP files are text files that contain settings that control what gets scanned on the system. AntiVir Profiles are the profiles of the users that are protected. You can create shortcuts for these AntiVir profiles on your desktop to easily access them.
How to open AVP files
Important: Different programs may use files with the AVP file extension for different purposes, so unless you are sure which format your AVP file is, you may need to try a few different programs.
