What are AVD files and how to open them
Are you having problems opening an AVD file or are you simply curious about its contents? We're here to explain the properties of these files and provide you with software that can open or handle your AVD files.
What is an AVD file?
Files that contain the .avd file extension are most commonly associated with video files that are used by the Alogics Corporation. While the AVD video file format was never very popular, it has become nearly obsolete due to the more widely-accepted video file formats like the MPEG, AVI and WMV file formats.
The Magix Movie Edit Pro software also uses the .avd file suffix. This program uses the .avd file extension for the video data files that are used by the program.
The .avd file extension is also used by the Avery labeling software. These AVD files contain database files that are used to create the labels that are printed with the Avery software application.
