These .apkg data files are generated by the Anki program developed by Daniel Elmes.

Exported digital flashcards that are designed using the Anki software are stored in these .apkg files.

Version 2 of the Anki program uses the APKG format. To open these APKG files, simply use the Anki software. Other newer versions of this program have compatibility support for creating and opening .apkg files. Older versions of Anki use the .anki file format.
