What are ACCURIP files and how to open them

What is an ACCURIP file?

An .ACCURIP file is a CUETools AccuRip Log file.

CUETools AccuRip Log files (.accurip) are text logs created by CUETools or CUERipper to verify audio rips of CDs. They document whether each track's data matches entries in databases like AccurateRip and CTDB, and also compare CRC (checksum) values among different ripping tools or logs. These files help confirm if your digital copy is an accurate, bit-perfect reproduction of the original disc.

Each .accurip log starts with a header giving the title (disc/album), date and time of the rip, and the version of CUETools used. It includes sections for CTDB verification (with TOCID), AccurateRip (showing an AccurateRip ID and track CRCs, including ARv1 and ARv2 if available), and an "EAC-Style Info" section that shows peak levels, CRCs computed with or without null padding, and comparisons against any EAC-style log files found. When tracks match database records, the log shows status such as "Accurately ripped"; if not, it may show "No match", or "Offsetted by X" if a database record is found for a different read offset.

Files are written by CUETools (or CUERipper under its control) after verifying audio files and cue sheets. They are typically kept alongside the ripped audio and cue sheet. You can review them to see which tracks matched with high confidence, whether any data track or pregap corrections were applied, and how other logs (like EAC) compare for the same rip.

The file is plain text and includes internal markers such as "[CUETools log; Date: …; Version: …]" at the beginning. It uses keywords/statistics like Track, Peak, CRC32, W/O NULL, LOG, AccurateRip ID, CTDB TOCID, VERSION, and status indicators like "Accurately ripped", "No match", along with fields for CRC values. The phrase "ACCURATERIP ID" (AccurateRip ID) is also present. There is a fixed signature at offset zero starting with "[CUETools log; Date: " in ASCII.

How to open ACCURIP files

Important: Different programs may use files with the ACCURIP file extension for different purposes, so unless you are sure which format your ACCURIP file is, you may need to try a few different programs.
