ABS File - opening and understanding

What is an ABS file?
Files that contain the .abs file extension are most commonly associated with MPEG audio sound files. These MPEG files contain the audio-visual data for movie, music and video files in a compressed file format and are saved with the .abs file extension. These ABS files are audio files that follow the MPEG coding standards.
The GNU C Compiler ELF/DWARF files also use the .abs file suffix. These files contain absolute files that are used by the compiler.
The Avant Web browser also uses the .abs file extension. These ABS files contain skin files that allow a user to customize the look and feel of the Avant browser interface.
How to open ABS files
You will need a program compatible with the specific file you are trying to open, as different programs may use files with file extension ABS for different purposes.
