What are 08 files and how to open them
Are you having problems opening a 08 file or are you simply curious about its contents? We're here to explain the properties of these files and provide you with software that can open or handle your 08 files.
What is a 08 file?
The .08 file extension is most commonly used for split archive file volumes. When a file archiving and compression utility, such as WinRAR, is used to combine a large batch of files into a single file archive, the archive can be split into multiple volumes. This makes it easier to distribute the files over the Internet and allows a user to save the archive across multiple storage disks. Each volume of the split archive is given its own file extension, such as .01, .02, .03., etc. The .08 extension is normally assigned to the 8th volume of the split file archive. In order for a user to extract the contents of the archive, all of the volumes must be present.
