What is SoundTap Streaming Audio Recorder?
SoundTap Streaming Audio Recorder is a software program from NCH Software, used for recording any audio file that is playing on your computer, whether through live streaming or through a pre-recorded audio file that is playing through the Internet.
The user has a choice of saving the files in MP3 of WAV format. You can record songs playing on a radio program online, a webcast, online conferences and even sounds from a TV program playing on the Internet.
The software works alongside Quorum Conference Server, which is a phone conferencing program from NCH, to record dialed-in calls through the server. For recording of other audio files, the only limitation is that it does not record audio files streamed through a DRM-protected player. Likewise, the software does not record audio files that are DRM-copy protected.
The program is very easy to use. Once you play an audio file on the computer that you want to record, you simply open the User Interface and click on the “Start Recording” option. You will see an update of the progress of the recording directly from the UI, i.e. SoundTap is initializing, Record mode is on, SoundTap Recorder started successfully, SoundTap is receiving an audio stream, and Starting a new recording.
