What is a TD file (a file with file extension TD)?
Files that contain the .td file extension are most commonly used for Teledisk archive files. Teledisk is a shareware disk archiving utility that was released by Sydex and was very popular in the 1990s.
The .td files that are created by the Teledisk software contain archive files that contain a large batch of files and combine them into a single file archive. This makes it easier for a user to manage the files, store the files and distribute the files online via Internet download or email.
The .td file suffix is also used by the Microsoft Train Simulator application. These TD files contain data file that are utilized by the Train Simulator software.
