If you are looking for Zoiper, you have come to the right place. We explain what Zoiper is and point you to the official download.
What is Zoiper?
Zoiper is a VoIP softphone program, similar to Skype or MagicJack, where software and computer hardware working together can emulate a phone (hence the name) and thus make and receive calls, either to a fixed-line phone or to another user with the same application. Zoiper is cross-platform, working on any operating system, desktop or mobile, and even on a web browser; it offers free phone calls, video calls, text messaging, and instant messaging; it also offers fax and presence communications.
Zoiper, upon installation, will then scour the computer (or a mobile, if a mobile device is connected) and will then display the items in a list. Supported applications include Outlook, LDAP, XMPP, XCAP, and Android and iOS devices can be found, and contacts from these sources can also become Zoiper contacts so a user can place a call or receive calls from them right from the Zoiper interface itself. This application also encrypts all communications via TLS and SRTP.
Zoiper is written in C/C++, meaning it has a minimal resource footprint and will not tax users’ limited hardware, unlike other VoIP clients.
