If you are looking for ZBrush, you have come to the right place. We explain what ZBrush is and point you to the official download.
What is ZBrush?
ZBrush is 3D computer graphics software from Pixologic that provides the user with a digital sculpting program. The software is compatible with Windows and Mac OS X operating systems, making it a cross-platform software program.
The software provides the user with a selection of advanced tools for 3D sculpting, texturing and painting. Users can draw a sketch of a 2D or 3D model and then add textures and other effects to render images in a realistic fashion.
Rendering tools include the Best Preview Render, which is an application integrated in the 4.0 version of the ZBrush software. Also provided are preset materials that can render images as shiny or bumpy, reflective or transparent, or metallic.
For texturing, the following tools are provided: PolyPaint, Spotlight, and UV Master. The PolyPaint tool enables the user to paint an object’s surface even without a texture map. After the painting process has been completed and a texture map is created, the painted object’s surface can then integrated into the texture map.
Other features of the software include 3D brushes, illustration tools, and a transpose feature, ZSpheres for creating a base mesh, and GoZ for automated shading networks.
