XVID Player
If you are looking for XVID Player, you have come to the right place. We explain what XVID Player is and point you to the official download.
What is XVID Player?
The XviD Player is a free application from Media Freeware that can play any media file that can be opened with the XviD codec. XviD in itself is actually freeware, an open-source non-commercial alternative that has managed to become one of the most common codecs at the moment. The XviD Player is equipped with more than the XviD codec, however: it also has DivX codecs, which means it can leverage the power of even trademarked codecs to open various media.
The XviD Player is thus compatible with the vast majority of audio and video file formats of today. It has a clean, relatively modern graphical user interface that supports user playlist creation. The program also has the ability to recall where a user left off viewing a particular video, and can use that as the starting point for playback if that video is opened again on it. Moreover, the XviD Player has the ability to zoom in on a playing video picture if the user wants a close-in view of some detail within the file.
The XviD Player will run on Windows 7, Vista and XP.
