WinWAP

If you are looking for WinWAP, you have come to the right place. We explain what WinWAP is and point you to the official download.

What is WinWAP?

WinWAP may refer to the browser created by WinWAP Technologies, which it also calls its WinWAP OEM Browser. The application is lightweight and—as suggested by the name—is optimized for WAP or Wireless Application Protocol technologies. This makes it optimal for portable devices that often use wireless connections to browse the Web: smartphones using the wireless mobile network, for example. As a matter of fact, the browser actually is found mainly on pocket PCs and other portables that run the Windows OS. That having been said, it is not exclusively compatible with only Windows computing systems: it can work too with ones using Linux too, for instance, as well as with most other computing systems running real-time operating systems.

There are actually several versions of the browser with varying optimizations. For instance, as mentioned earlier, one version is optimized for WAP usage. Another has WAP capabilities but is also equipped with facilities for standard WEB technology. Some versions are paid programs while others are available at zero cost to the user or as pre-installed applications on particular portable devices such as smartphones and similar devices.
