If you are looking for Wing IDE, you have come to the right place. We explain what Wing IDE is and point you to the official download.
What is Wing IDE?
The Wing IDE application from Wingware is a programming tool, specifically one that uses the Python programming language. This editor boasts auto-complete functions for faster coding, as well as a built in source assistant that aids users in suggestions through contextual recognition, calltip provision, and documentation. It has Python code refactoring, a tool for defining code constructs as snippets, and test-driven development.
It also has a powerful debugging utility that has the rare ability to pause an application in the middle of its execution. It can stop and report any problems it encounters and instantly shows the user the code at the point of error for better bug isolation. The debugging process’s runtime state can be monitored and analyzed, and the user can also interact with the debugging probe.
The program has handy navigation tools as well. For instance, there is a project manager, a search tool, source index menus, points-of-use searching, a source code browser, and—of course—bookmarking. It is also capable of emulating various key bindings in its editor, and supplies users with the ability to create their own personal key bindings.
