If you are looking for VNC Viewer, you have come to the right place. We explain what VNC Viewer is and point you to the official download.
What is VNC Viewer?
VNC Viewer is an application that allows the user to remotely access a computer that is installed with the VNC software. VNC is software that allows the user to connect to their computer from a remote location. This is compatible with computers running on Windows, Mac, Linux and UNIX.
To be able to access the VNC-enabled computer from another machine or device, the user then needs to installs the VNC Viewer software on the machine from which the remote VNC-enabled computer will be accessed. In other words, VNC Viewer allows for communication between the VNC-enabled computer and the access device.
When the viewer is installed, the user is able to manipulate the remote desktop. Access to the remote desktop is similar to accessing it as if the user was actually in front of the computer. This means that whatever activities that the user normally does on the computer, they can do the same from a remote location through their access device/machine installed with VNC Viewer.
VNC Viewer is available for Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, Solaris, HP-UX and AIX. There is also an iOS version and a Google Chrome version, allowing the user to remotely access their desktops from their portable devices.
