What is Visual IBIS Editor?
The Visual IBIS Editor is a tool used to create, maintain, and verify I/O Buffer Information Specification (IBIS) device models. It creates model templates, validates syntax, provides graphical displays for V/t and V-t waveform tables, edits model texts, and has a hierarchical view of IBIS models. Included in the features of the software is the ability to view high-side I-V curves that either power- or ground-relative, the ability to sum clamp-diode and pull-up down curves, a help system with a self-contained online version, an integrated IBIS-syntax utility, an IBIS template generator, a graphical viewer for IBIS V-I tables and waveform tables, an online IBIS specification, warning/error windows for syntax check results, and a great deal of other features. There are added features in the HyperLynx version such as “Easy IBIS” creation wizard.
