What is Vistumbler?

Vistumbler is a software designed for specifically for Windows Vista and for scanning an area and detecting if a nearby wireless access points are present. The software can still work with other operating system such as Windows 7 and can use Live Google Earth tracking through GPS. To maximize the usage of the software, the user must disconnect from access point while scanning for networks. Aside from the speed of the process, the operating system can work accurately if disconnected. Vistumbler is also available in different languages and if a language is not available, the software enables the user to help in the creation of a new language pack.

Network scan results will show the status of a wireless connection as well as the MAC address, the SSID, signals, RSSI, authentication, and encryption. The software allows the user to set up a designated MIDI audio for each access point and lets them manage and organize MAC addresses, and use the camera to capture landmarks.
