Virtual Families

If you are looking for Virtual Families, you have come to the right place. We explain what Virtual Families is and point you to the official download.

What is Virtual Families?

Virtual Families is a casual simulation game developed by the same team that brought you the smash-hit Virtual Villagers, Last Day of Work, first released on April 2009 much to rave reviews. Similar in style and concept to the more commercially and critically well-received The Sims from Electronic Arts, Virtual Families is a rather less expensive and more casual alternative to the former, where you basically do the same thing to an avatar (or your player character) as you would in The Sims – clothe them, bring them to work, find a love interest, start a family, manage the household and finances, maintain and fix appliances and tools, and more; it even has a full-fledged dynamic illness system that comes into play whenever you play your character! But what separates it from The Sims is that it’s not merely a household simulation game, but a cross between puzzle-solving and simulation.

What is outstanding in Virtual Villagers is that the characters and their families grow and interact, even with your computer turned off, which makes for a realistic experience – for example, the 30th generation of the family takes up to six real months, with or without your input.
