What is VCM Scanner?
The VCM Scanner is a utility that comes with the VCM Suite from HPTuners, which offers programs for automobile tuning. The VCM Scanner is an OBDII utility for scanning and diagnostics work that can connect to the OBDII data port of a car and receive data from it. The program supports VCM controls and will also display all diagnostics data in real time.
The VCM Scanner utility is considered a comprehensive OBDII scanning tool, which means practically all relevant data that can be obtained from the OBDII port can be accessed through it. For instance, it will show the engine RPM, the vehicle speed, the knock retard, the ignition timing advance, the throttle position, the IAC position, the manifold absolute pressure, the idle desired airflow, the engine coolant temperature, the intake air temperature, the air fuel commanded lo. res., the dynamic cylinder air g/cylinder measurement, the pulse width averages, the command fan data, and more. The program is capable of displaying figures as precise numbers in text format or can display them via its digital scanner dash display mode. Like VCM Suite, it will run only on Windows computing systems and requires a computer with at least 1GHz of CPU power.
