If you are looking for V2i Protector, you have come to the right place. We explain what V2i Protector is and point you to the official download.

What is V2i Protector?

PowerQuest’s v2i Protector is a drive-imaging product that is available in both server and desktop editions. It has data protection and backup. The server edition gives imaging-backup capabilities for different flavors of Microsoft’s network operating systems, including Windows NT, 2000, and 2003. Installing this software is straightforward and wizard-driven. It doesn’t need a lot of hardware requirements. Only 256 Megabytes of RAM, and processor speeds in excess of 150MHz are recommended. V2i Protector combines several software components to perform imaging duties. It includes a software based agent, which enables imaging and restoration functionality. The desktop version can be used with Windows XP or Windows 2000. V2i Protector does not need any reboots or close active files, and allows backups to be created even with busy servers.

The v2i Protector contains a management console component, which is used to schedule backups and restorations on systems that run the agent. It also includes an image browser. Vector employs a compression algorithm that reduces image storage requirements.
