What is TotalMedia?
TotalMedia or TotalMedia Theatre is a program for playing media files on a Windows computer. The latest version of the software, TotalMedia Theatre 6, utilizes the Windows 8 touch screen user interface for easier control of the program. This latest version is also compatible with the standard user interface of Windows.
The player supports a wide range of video formats like VOB, MOD, MPEG, MPG, H-264, 26L, DIVX, DAT, AVI, DVR-MS, ASF, WM, WMV, DV, MOV, 3GP, 3GPP, and 3G2, MKV, FLV and MTS.
The advanced features of the program enable the user to watch 2D videos in 3D mode via the SIM3D application. Standard videos may also be displayed in High Definition through the SIMHD app.
A Media Manager is also integrated into the software to provide the user with an organized view of all their media files stored in a local folder. Media Manager also provides the user with a library of online videos, categorized as follow: Top Viewed, Featured Videos, and Most Popular. A search utility is provided as well, for online videos to allow the user to find and download videos from the Internet.
