What is TopStyle Lite?

One of the editions of TopStyle, TopStyle Lite is the free edition of this series of software which is used by web designers in order to create and edit Cascading Style Sheets, or CSS. Because it’s free, it’s understandable that features were stripped from the full version of TopStyle (called TopStyle Pro), which has XHTML, HTML and CSS editing functions. TopStyle Lite has instead only CSS editor functions, and for users who just wish to have more control of their CSS design, TopStyle is a reasonable choice, or for those who may wish to try TopStyle’s features out before purchasing.

TopStyle Lite has the core features of its bigger cousin, such as the ability to create CSS code that is compatible with major browsers and their respective rendering engines. TopStyle Lite has a multi-browser style checker and validator, which alerts users into inputting code that is incompatible with a specific browser. Furthermore, TopStyle Lite can also create a style sheet from HTML, which will apply to all the pages in the site. Changing properties is as simple as a drop-down menu, although users can also manually modify each tag.
