What is Tomb Raider - Anniversary?
Tomb Raider – Anniversary was released in 2007, just over a decade after the original Tomb Raider game, to celebrate the resurrection of the series, and honor the fans who have stuck around since the beginning. While it follows the same basic storyline as TR1, Anniversary is actually more of a re-imagining, than a straight remake of the classic. Anniversary’s plot ties together the events of the original game, and Lara’s quest to rescue her mother, as introduced in Tomb Raider, Legend.
As in TR1, Lara is searching for the Scion, a mystical artifact said to originate on the lost continent of Atlantis. But now, she’s not just playing for sport. She believes that the Scion to be a repository of ancient knowledge, which can help solve the mystery of her mother’s disappearance. Platforms include Windows, PlayStation 2, PSP, X-Box 360, Wii, and later, Mac OS X and PS3, as part of the TR trilogy. System requirements include a Pentium 3.1.4 GHz processor, 256 MB of RAM, a free disk space of 4 GB. Operating system should be Windows 2000, XP, or Vista.
