What is TheRecord?

TheRecord or the TheRecord Player is a software used to duplicate, share, and playback pre-recorded audio content and is integrated into the different products designed and released by the company ForTheRecord. This software is primarily used for court proceedings and is utilized by transcribers, judges, court clerks and lawyers.

TheRecord is equipped with the functionality of the tape recorder which allows users to use it intuitively. All recordings are managed by the software and can be protected by assigning password to each file or folder. The user also has the option to convert the audio file to a different format so as to make them compatible with other hardware or system.

TheRecord also features isolation system that consists of 2 different channels. Aside from audio playback, it can also be used to view recorded videos for analysis. The software is also ‘legal’ to be used in the US as it complies with the State Law Section 508. The software also permits users to utilize the individual controls for sound and speed for each recording and has a rapid search mechanism. The software runs on Windows 7 operating system.
