What is Stickman & Elemento?
Stickman and Elemento is a 2D animation software created by Sven Nilsen. Nilsen created Cutout Pro in March 2006. Its aim was to create tools for learning and creativity within 2D animation. Its first version was made to teach kids key fame animations in early 2004. In 2005, Nilsen used an expression language he invented, as foundation for Elemento. This language allows one to express relationships between properties without concerning about single instructions. It was inspired by formulas in spread sheets. Originally, Elemento was only intended to intern use. This gave the idea of using actions that constructed expressions automatically.
Features include being able to import PNG, JPG, and GIF files. It can animate in both Photoshop and GIMP, and create line drawings on infinite canvas. It can also animate with key frames, control powers, switches, and matrix. It has a 3D-like interpolation of size, as well as a path tool. This program can also control body poses, and switches with keyboard, and create its own figures. It has unlimited undo and redo options. It also has deform and effect nodes.
