Stardock MyColors is software that may come as a bundled product of certain laptop brands and models, or it may also come as a feature of Object Desktop, which is a suite of programs designed to enhance the user’s Windows desktop. Under the Theme Manager option of Object Desktop, MyColors may be accessed.
Launching Theme Manager will open a user interface with Themes, Applications, My Desktop, Settings and About tabs displayed on the menu bar. Under Themes, the MyColors tab is displayed, and under MyColors, the user is provided with three panes: a side bar menu, preview area and themes thumbnails under the side bar menu and preview area.
From the side bar menu, the user can select a specific theme, i.e. Aquarium, which then displays all the available options in thumbnail view. When a thumbnail is clicked, it will display in the preview area. This gives the user a clear view of the theme before applying it to their desktop.
Users may also delete or add themes from the side bar menu. When a specific theme has been selected, users need to click the “Apply This Theme” option, also located from the side bar menu. The theme will then be automatically applied to the user’s desktop.
